It’s not the biggest TV around – especially not for its price – but we prefer to take LG’s Curved OLED TV as a sign of things to come. The 55-inch television features OLED technology for an extremely high contrast ratio and deeper, truer blacks, a lightweight, razor thin design – 37 pounds and 0.18-inches (4.5mm) at its limits, thanks in part to a carbon fiber backing – and a subtle curvature that makes all parts of the display equidistant from your eyes. It’s also 3D capable, streams content out of the box from either the internet (Netflix, Hulu, etc) or your compatible devices, and packs thin film speakers within its base that we’d rapidly deactivate in favor of a more potent soundbar.
