If you were amped up by the extreme suckitude of the Roborock H6 vacuum, which we recently reviewed, you’ll get swept up by its brand-new successor: the Roborock H7. Roborock announced the new vacuum today, along with a $50 off early bird deal available through June 8.
Roborock fortifies the H7 stick vacuum cleaner with improved “maximum suction,” a new magnetic storage system, and a 500 mL dustbin. It even has a compatible mop attachment, sold separately. Are you ready to suck and/or get wet? Roborock is.
Roborock Updates: H7 vs. H6
It appears the H7 vacuum amounts to a modest upgrade on the previous H6 (which, FWIW, our reviewer liked). Specific improvements include:
- 160 AW maximum suction. The H6 redlined at 150.
- Magnetic storage system for accessories. If I know our H6 reviewer (and I do), he would appreciate any organizational support. “I cannot overemphasize how dirty my home gets,” he writes. Can confirm.
- 500 mL dustbin capacity. The H6’s dustbin holds 400 mL of the dusty stuff. You can also use disposable dust bags for the unit, but don’t do that. Waste makes waste.
- Mop attachment compatibility. If I know our H6 reviewer (and I do), he needs to mop his kitchen. In that article, he writes “I am a dirty guy by nature,” completely unironically.
That’s the skinny. Roborock does not specifically mention that it changes any other components. “The Roborock H7 builds upon the best designs and features of our first cordless stick vacuum,” says Richard Chang, CEO of Roborock.
If anything, that would be good news to our H6 tester. He found himself satisfied with the cordless stick vac’s capability, going so far as to say he was “surprised.”
Availability and Early Bird Pricing
MSRP for the Roborock H7 is $500. But now through June 8th, early-bird customers can take 10% off. Coincidentally (or maybe not), this levels the price between the H7 and the H6, rendering the upgrade free.
