This simple point-and-shoot camera packs quite a lot of high-tech features in its retro design. This includes Sony’s custom-made imaging sensor—STARVIS 2 1/1.8’’ back-illuminated CMOS that can capture video in 2K and 5MP images with resolutions of 3200×1800. STARVIS sensors are actually designed for security cameras and to work in any lighting conditions.
Thanks to the advanced AI algorithms and in-body optimization based on what you’re photographing, this camera captures details pretty well, with reduced noise and improved clarity. This said, you shouldn’t expect ultra-sharp and detailed images from Mat Pro; this is not an artistic tool but rather a portable security camera.
