Find Your Peace of Mind: LITELOK Core Bike Locks

Whether you spend your days shredding the gnar in the mountains, cutting through traffic on your daily commute, or crammed into skin-tight lycra for hours-long suffer fests, every cyclist eventually comes to a point when you have to leave your pride and joy unattended. There’s just no way around it.

Finding the right bike lock can be tough. Smaller, lighter locks can often skimp on security, especially when protecting pricier rigs. But more imposing locks are often heavy and clunky — not great for setting PRs.

LITELOK’s Core Locks combine lightweight design with serious security to bring those two worlds together. The Core Lock is both mountable and wearable, ideal for every type of rider.

LITELOK Core: The Basics

LITELOK Core locks come in two models: The Flexi-O and Wearable. The Flexi-O is a more compact lock designed to be mounted on a frame. The lock uses rubber attachments to stave off annoying rattling and protect your bike from damage.

The Wearable comes in three sizes ranging from 34 to 44 inches in length. It bends easily and can be worn around the waist.

The lock itself is composed of a tensile steel core wrapped in interlocked hardened steel links. The steel components are wrapped in a bonded plant-based polymer that prevents corrosion, all encased in a braided sleeve.

Function and Safety:

LITELOK Core locks are built to accommodate all bikes but are nicely tailored for E-bikes, which often have wider frames and smaller center triangles to complicate lock storage. The flexible design of the lock ensures it will be able to wrap around any shape and fit into smaller spaces.

The locking mechanism snaps together, and a key is only required when unlocking.

The crew at LITELOK have built, tested, and destroyed more than 1,000 prototypes before landing on their final design. They’ve thrown everything at the lock, including common bike theft tools like hacksaws, bolt cutters, chisels, and drills.

How Much?

LITELOK Core locks are available for preorder on Indiegogo and are expected to begin shipping in August. The Flexi-O can be snagged for early bird pricing at MSRP $141. The Wearable price for early birds is MSRP $155. Buying as an early bird will save you about 15% off the full price of the lock.
