A comfortable and adjustable ergonomic chair is a must-have, whether you work from home or the office. Ergonomic chairs are designed to improve posture and offer good back support, plus better control and customized settings. Unfortunately though, most high-quality ergonomic office chairs are also ridiculously expensive. And sure, you can always get a cheap work chair, but those things never last longer than a couple of years – at best.
This is where Branch’s new Verve Chair comes in. Designed by fuseproject, the Verve is a beautiful, reasonably priced work chair that is designed to feel, function and look like a high-end ergonomic chair. While this is currently Branch’s most expensive work chair, at little over $500, it’s still one of the most affordable high-quality ergonomic chairs for both home and office.
The Verve Features
- Six ergonomic adjustments for a perfect fit

- Designed for bodies of most sizes, from 5’2″ to 6’2″, up to 300 pounds
- High-density molded foam seat that evenly distributes weight
- Rated for 8+ hours of comfortable work
- Backed by 7+ year warranty
The Verve gets its name from its 3D knit, V-shaped suspended back frame that’s similar to Nike’s FlyKnit tech. Soft-to-touch and breathable for cool comfort throughout the day, this back frame offers excellent spine support. Since it’s somewhat stretchy, you can easily lean back and the chair will mold and conform to your body for maximum comfort.
There are six intuitive ergonomic adjustments, including a padded, adjustable lumbar rest that’s designed to support your spine and help it maintain its natural S curve. Armrest height is also adjustable, and so are seat height and depth, and tilt tension. The seat itself is made of high-density molded foam and it evenly distributes weight, supporting up to 300 pounds. The base is made from powder-coated aluminum while the frame consists of glass-reinforced polyamide.
Branch’s Verve chair is also quite beautiful. Simple, yes, but that only enhances its elegance. You can choose between three “dipped in” colors (they’re more muted than saturated): Galaxy (black), Coral, and Mist (very light grey).
Branch is currently offering an early bird special for the Verve Chair so you can get it for $499. Its regular price will be $549 when ordered through their website, but the dealer price will be $995. As a bonus, the chair ships free.
