How To Use Your Phone To Declutter

Home is where the heart is and we all feel comfortable and safe in our homes. The downside about staying at home all day is that your life can become cluttered. It starts with a few things lying around and before you know it, you’re home and your life full of clutter.  Whether you have stuff that you are not using anymore or a simple case of disorganization, it happens without you really ever noticing until you are surrounded by clutter.

There are many things you can do to solve clutter problems using your phone. If you are a person that gets sidetracked very easily the best apps for people working at home can help you get back on track. With many applications and features on your phone, you can get rid of the cluttering problem. Here are some ways you can declutter your life using your phone.

1. Get Organized By Using Apps

If you are a person that loses track of time easily and you forget what you need to do. Make use of some of the top apps to get yourself organized. Apps that can help out can already be found in the system app menu, such as Notes and Calendar. But if you want a more detailed app to get better organized, consider Evernote. With Evernote you can input all of your ideas into memos and diary planners, or if you have a lot to do and need to keep track to-do list will be a big help. Google Assistant is a great app that usually comes already installed with most devices. You can connect it with different apps and keep track of events and reminders that you are easily forgotten. The voice assistant is a pro for anyone that doesn’t have time to use their phone while doing work.

2. Sell Your Unused Stuff Online

Is your house filled with items that just collect dust and haven’t been used for a long time? This stuff takes up a lot of space in your house and when your home is overly cluttered, it’s difficult to stay focused. Web pages such as eBay and Craigslist can help you get rid of the clutter. All of the items that you want to sell or give away can simply be uploaded on the websites. Make sure that you put in as many details in the description of the item to make it easier for buyers to choose the item. Details such as new or used, age, and conditions are the details buyers look at. Be thorough with descriptions to avoid a bad review from a disgruntled buyer.

3. Go Paperless With Your Phone

The age of digitalization promised us a paperless society but if you speak with anyone in the administration, they will tell you there seems to be more paper than ever piling up on our desks and all around us. If you’re tired of paper clutter and dragging files everywhere with you, make use of apps to save your documents. Scan your documents with apps such as CamScanner and Adobe Scan. Simply use your phone camera to take a picture of the wanted document and edit it the make the quality visible and easier to read. If you do not have a lot of memory on your phone use cloud storage such as OneDrive and Google Drive and keep your documents there where you can access them as needed on any device. You’ll you’re your documents with you without carting cases and files with you everywhere you go.

4. Reading Apps Instead Of Books

Reading books is a great way to pass the time and it can be very addictive. However, buying and owning a lot of books can take up a lot of space in your home. It isn’t a problem if you have bookcases that can neatly store all of your books but there are only so many bookcases a home can have. The alternative is to install reading apps. These give you access to many titles from all of your favorite authors. Bear in mind that most reading apps require a monthly subscription to avail yourself of this service but you can read anywhere, anytime from your phone or Android tablet.

When it comes to clearing clutter, your phone will be your best friend with keeping your life more organized then it was before. You have your phone with you all day and you should take advantage of all you can do with your phone and especially when you are stuck at home and everything you do just seems to make a mess. Take a look around to see where most of the clutter is piling up and then check the apps store on your phone to see which apps would be of benefit to you.
