The Timex x GREATS Watch
The Navi is a wristwatch that features the technical ingenuity of Timex and the cool and fashionable styling of GREATS. It is the second collaboration between the two brands. It has a simple look that belies its adventurous nature.
The Timex x GREATS Navi dares to challenge the status quo by bringing to the fore a few innovations that conventional wristwatches do not have. It also provides a sense of discovery. The inspiration for the Navi’s materials, colors, and textures comes from the things that you see in fishing boats and harbors; hence, the name.
This Timex watch comes with a 41 mm stainless-steel case with a matte gray finish. The finish extends well into the 24-hour dial. There are no subdials in the Navi and no dater, too. The dial is as simple as the face of a wall clock. The only design elements that you will see are the names of the collaborating brands.
The dial does feature luminous watch hands and indices. The tip of the second hand comes in luminous orange, while the rest come in standard light green. The combination of the luminous hands and indices and the dark dial makes telling time so much easier.
Timex and GREATS utilized a Kvadrat Revive 1 material in the creation of the slip-thru nylon watch strap. What is surprising is that the strap features recycled polyester. This gives the Navi an eco-friendly nature. It also comes with a 100-meter water resistant rating. It is not meant for deep sea diving, of course. However, it does a decent job of keeping the sensitive watch mechanisms protected from the elements.
The Navi is a no-nonsense wristwatch. It is perfect for those who do not have a need for fancy technologies. It offers a simple and fashionable way of telling time.
