The Pen Type-A is easily our favorite pen. Problem is it isn’t particularly pocket friendly what with its unforgiving squared edges. Now there’s Pen Type-B, a pocket friendly version of the former, minus the integrated ruler. Pen Type-B boasts the same hefty stainless steel body that this time slips into its polished, rounded brass sleeve, both pieces precisely machined to such high tolerances that they interact with a piston-like effect, emitting a satisfying popping sound when the pen is pulled out quickly. It’s also compatible with Pilot’s Hi-Tec-C ink cartridge which, for us, is enough — though it does work with a handful of other cartridges as well.
