OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Professional
The Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Professional diver’s watch boasts of an ocean-depth technology that marries style and performance. While this chronograph is built for the deepest trenches of the world’s greatest oceans, it still comes with Omega’s signature style. And if the Seamaster can accompany deep-sea researchers in their expeditions, it should be a neat contraption to have for any average diver.
For almost a century, Omega has been at the forefront of dive watch technology. The Seamaster is the epitome of the watchmaker’s renowned brilliance in the crafting of timepieces that do not only endure time. These deep-sea-going chronographs come with a construction that allows them to withstand the demands of scientific explorations like The Five Deeps Expedition.
Abandoning traditional stainless steel casings, Omega utilized the same materials used in the DSV Limiting Factor. As such, the Seamaster also features a forged, DNV-GL-certified, grade 5 titanium. From the caseback to the casebody, crown, and the bezel, the Seamaster has the submersible’s titanium hull. Bonding the sapphire crystal to the titanium body is Omega’s Liquidmetal technology. This ensures a firmer yet more flexible interface while also avoiding the unnecessary use of polymer seals. This also reduces the thickness of the sapphire crystal.
Omega also abandoned its usual COSC certification in favor of the more stringent certification process of the Federal Institute of Metrology, or METAS. This helps guarantee that the Seamaster can provide any use with the highest possible levels of performance, precision, and anti-magnetic resistance. This makes them Master Chronometers.
The Seamaster also features Manta lugs. These reduce the risk of exceeding the traction and pressure loads of both the watch and the straps at full ocean depths.
Oozing with finesse and unparalleled performance, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Professional Chronograph is every deep sea diver’s best companion.
