MBLOK Memory Cube
With the advent of solid state storage on our devices, speed and durability has improved considerably; no more dropped iPod hard drives, now it’s the sheet of glass adorning their face that we worry about instead. But Flash memory has made lack of storage an issue, and it’s still rather difficult to manage files across devices, particularly on the go. Enter MBLOK, a diminutive cube made of wood and aluminum that stashes up to 256GB of Flash memory and that, more amazingly, operates wirelessly for 300 hours on a charge. All stored files are optionally secured thanks to 128 bit encryption, accessible using Bluetooth or its flip-down USB port, and it works with up to 7 devices at once, streaming music, movies, and transferring documents at speeds of up to 24 Mbit/s using their app.
