Machine Era Field Pen Twist
The Twist is a new addition to Machine Era’s growing collection of Field Pens. This writing instrument speaks of the utmost refinement in ball pen technology, allowing you to write as freely as possible. It blends some of the world’s finest technologies to give you a pen that is not only as elegant as it looks but is also very serious about its function.
This Machine Era pen features the Schmidt Easy Glide motion control mechanism. Unlike the traditional twist or press mechanism of other ball pens, the Twist provides for a more satisfying experience. Each twist of the mechanism elicits a smooth and super-clean movement. It’s not like twisting the cap of an ordinary writing pen.
The barrel of the Twist comes in a combination of thermoplastic material and premium stainless steel. As its name implies, one can be sure that the steel is precision-machined from the shops of Machine Era. But what is stunning about the barrel of the Twist is how centered its mass is. This sits well on the hands, allowing you to grip its body with pleasure waves rippling through the rest of your arm.
Speaking of grip, the body of the Twist also comes with very fine textured details. It’s like caressing a very precious gem that has yet to meet a craftsman. The twist button boasts of anodized aluminum construction, lending the ball pen added elegance. The Twist uses Parker’s Itoya Aquaroller pen refills. This gives you better control of your writing movements. The gel ink is acid-free and can work on almost any other surface.
The Machine Era Field Pen Twist is always a great instrument to write one’s thoughts or scribble another’s ideas. Too bad, it only accepts Parker refills. However, it does feel very solid in the hands and looks amazing, too.
