LEGO Technic Bucket Wheel Excavator
Quarrying is an important component of the booming building and construction industry. It’s how many of the construction materials are processed. Instead of explaining to your young teen how an excavator and an aggregate processing plant work, you’ll be better off giving them the LEGO Technic Bucket Wheel Excavator to help them build and appreciate how two of the construction industry’s formidable equipment operate.
This Lego Technic Set comes with almost 4,000 different LEGO building blocks including a highly-advanced Power Functions motor that can activate the different mechanical components of the miniaturized replica of a bucket wheel excavator and mobile aggregate processing plant. Of course, your kid can only build one superstructure at a time. Regardless, he will still be able to build the accompanying mine truck to make for a more realistic interpretation of a quarrying operation.
When fully built, the mobile aggregate processing plant can stand a full 12 inches high with its boom fully extended, 8 inches wide, and 34 inches long. It is one of LEGO’s largest Technic creations to date. The bucket wheel excavator stands 16 inches high, 11 inches wide, and 28 inches long while the mine truck comes in at 3 x 3 x 7 inches. The excavator can be driven forward and reverse while its conveyor belt can also be moved. The bucket wheel rotates on its own axis giving kids a more realistic operation.
Like all LEGO playsets, it is possible to create something original, something totally new from the 3,929 building blocks. It is this open-ended nature of the playset that makes it a great gift to stimulate creativity and imagination in children while also harnessing their problem-solving skills.
LEGO can always be depended on to give you toys that not only entertain but also to educate and to facilitate the continuing development of the person.
