Kickr Electrified Longboard Kit
Uphills pose a bit of a challenge to longboarders and the like, to say the least. While we’ve seen electric longboards before, they tend to limit your options in terms of customizability by requiring a given set of trucks, wheels, and often even a special deck. Kickr goes another route, instead attaching to your existing longboard – no permanent modifications required – via an axle-mounted motor assemble and a battery pack that holds on thanks to custom straps. Kickr works with virtually any longboard or wheel size, propelling the rider, who controls it using sensors built in the strap, to up to 20 mph. Else, it’ll run for 6 miles per charge, weighs less than 5 pounds, and adds little friction even when not in use.
