Kia’s not a car company typically synonymous with fun or fast, but the 2018 Kia Stinger should change that, or at least begin to. The rear-wheel drive four-door sports either a 255 horsepower 2 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder engine of a twin-turbo V6 producing 360 horses, both coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission that should get your heart pounding. It was tuned and refined on Nurburgring to compete with cars from luxury automakers by a BMW exec himself recruited to Kia’s team thanks to features like dynamic stability damping control suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a variety of high-tech niceties that include forward collision assistance and advances smart cruise control. It’s good looking, too, with an Audi-esque vibe that borrows some styling cues from the Genesis Coupe. The only thing missing so far — and it’s a crucial point — is the price.
