Not particularly fond of ever-growing smartphone sizes? Apple’s release of the iPhone SE means you can finally get a compact smartphone that isn’t two years behind, tech-wise. While it’s built on the exact same bead-blasted aluminum frame as the iPhone 5S the SE boasts a A9 processor along with its M9 motion coprocessor, a 12-megapixel camera that also shoots 4K video, plus faster LTE and WiFi — all courtesy of hardware currently employed in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. It’s also equipped with Apple Pay, comes in an array of four colors, including rose gold, and sports a FaceTime flash that uses a custom display chip to flash the phone’s Retina display three times brighter than usual.
