Garmin Fenix

Good news for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy [deliberately] getting lost in the woods: Garmin’s latest wrist-wearable device couples sensors typically found on outdoor watches (altimeter, barometer, electronic compass and ambient thermometer) to a built-in GPS – just in case. Activate it to automatically create a trail of “bread crumbs”, allowing you to easily retrace your steps, set waypoints on the fly (such as your base camp), or create and download routes straight from a computer. At its roots it’s designed for practicality, however, and offers what you’ve come to expect from such a watch, including a rugged body, 50 meter water resistance, a backlit LED screen, and 6 weeks of battery life in watch mode (50 hours during constant GPS usage).
