Egtved Girl Beer

Dying to try 3,300 year old beer? While Egtved Girl Beer isn’t technically very old at all, the recipe used in its making was formulated off traces of beer found at the bottom of the bucket with which Egtved Girl was buried back in 1371 BC. This 5.5% beer boasts a fruity acidity, a sweet aftertaste derived from honey and sweet gale, plus a combination of wheat malt, bog myrtle, and cranberries. And while we’ll probably never know exactly what the beer in her bucket tasted like, we’re fairly certain we’ll enjoy this interpretation of it better anyhow.
