Bristol Bullet Speedster
Rescued from insolvency but five years ago, Bristol’s back with its first car since its new ownership took the reigns: the timely 70th anniversary edition Bullet Speedster. Each model is hand made in Chichester and is as bold as it is big, with a powerful stance and an attention-grabbing aeronautics-inspired shape. Contrasting with its more traditional design is the use carbon fibre composites in the making of its body for high rigidity and an overall low weight. This shows on its 0-62 time of 3.8 seconds and top speed of 155 miles per hour, though the 4.8 litre BMW V8 Hercules engine under the hood, producing 370 horsepower and almost equivalent torque, helps a bit with this as well. The speedster’s also fitted with modern amenities like Bluetooth/WiFi, a media center with digital radio, and contoured sports seats for long distance comfort.
