We have a love-hate relationship with umbrellas. On one hand, they’re obviously useful when it’s pouring. On the other, every one we’ve ever used just plain sucks. Blunt Umbrellas touches (and improves) upon two main flaws rife in these spindly things: safety and durability. First, they’ve got blunt edges so they won’t be poking any eyes out, and secondly, they’re much more durable than their inferior – though less costly – counterparts, thanks to a redesigned frame and taught canopy that lets them easily shrug off high speed winds (over 72 mph in wind tunnel tests).
