Hammerhead Bike Navigator

Using a bike-mounted smartphone for navigation is seemingly logical, but LCD screens are barely visible in bright sunlight and long rides inevitably lead to drained batteries. Coupling one to Hammerhead simplifies things a little. This rugged, waterproof shark-shaped device mounts to your bike’s handlebars or stem and uses your smartphone’s GPS system to show you the way thanks to a variety of RGB LEDs: a center array represents distance until the next turn, lights on top the direction of the next turn, and front plus side lights boost nighttime visibility while indicating turn intention to nearby drivers. Hammerhead’s app pre-loads route information, making it useful even in areas with no cell phone reception all while boosting battery life of your phone to upwards of 5 hours.
