Bergmönch Bike Backpack
Downhill biking poses one huge (and tiring) problem: actually getting the bike to the top of the hill. Instead of riding or pushing it up, Bergmönch’s bike straps on like a backpack and quickly unfolds to reveal large tires, front and back disk brakes, and suspension, all at a weight that’s a touch under 20 pounds. It also doubles as a real backpack, offering up 19 litres of storage space – more than enough to pack a big lunch, plus other stuff – and an exterior netted helmet compartment. The one downside (other than cost): Bergmönch’s bike is downhill only, offering forward motion strictly through gravity.
