Revo Locking Belay Device

While they’re not particularly difficult to master, assisted braking belay devices do require some additional manipulating of the device, for instance to release tension, and setting them up needs to be done right with regards to rope direction. Wild Country’s Revo Locking Belay Device, on the other hand, eliminates any possibility of human error as long as you actually attach the device. It functions like a standard ATC, accepting rope in either direction. But unlike traditional tubes that depend on both your hands on the rope the Revo will lock if an uncontrolled descent occurs, arresting falls and potentially saving lives in panic situations. And it’s also stripped of a handle to unlock and lower the climber, instead behaving like a normal ATC for this as well.
