Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli
Mazzanti isn’t a household name like Ferrari or Lamborghini, but it might be following the Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli, now Italy’s most powerful street-legal supercar. As its name would have you assume the Millecavalli’s 7.2-litre twin-turbo V8 engine outputs 1,000 horsepower to the rear wheels, with torque at an almost equally impressive 885 lb-ft. A six-speed sequential gearbox sits in between and lets the car hit 62 mph in 2.7 seconds on its way to a ludicrous top speed of 250 miles per hour, just a hair below the recently dethroned Bugatti Veyron. Large Brembo ceramic disk brakes tame its speed admirably (albeit probably not fast enough). Though only 25 units total will ever come out of Mazzanti’s factory, and they’ll probably go quick.
