Casio Pro Trek PRW-7000

It’s not quite as ostentatious as their G-Shock Mudmaster. But the Casio Pro Trek PRW-7000 is still almost just as capable. Behind its sapphire crystal lens sit analogue hands enlarged by the use of carbon-fibre and an inset dial at the 5 o’clock position that consolidates multiple functions including atmospheric pressure, altitude, and a tide graph. The functionality of the latter is fed by Casio’s standard slew of miniature built-in sensors — a digital compass, altimeter, barometer, and thermometer — though the watch isn’t short on other features either, which include solar charging, world time set by radio (Wave Ceptor), a 1/100-second stopwatch, and even an LED in the LCD to make reading time hours easy even hours after the phosphorescent paint on the hands and hour markings have gone out.
