ArcaBoard

It’s not as sleek as the fictional hoverboard in Back To The Future nor as elegant as Lexus’ Slide, but ArcaBoard’s one advantage is that it’s real, and it’ll work over any terrain, not just specific ferrous metals. ArcaBoard features 36 high power downward facing electric ducted fans on either side of its surface, each covered with a grill for safety and outputting a combined maximum thrust of 430 lbs — more than enough to support a 240 lbs human, even through multiple motor failure. Integrated stabilization keeps the board from toppling over while a ton of batteries keep it running for a total of 6 minutes per charge. Granted, it’s not the be-all and end-all hoverboard, but it’s progress.
