Sony PlayStation TV

The micro-console is still a relatively new player in the gaming world, but judging by the public’s response to Ouya’s, it’s one that’s here to stay. Sony’s grabbing a piece of that pie with PlayStation TV, the first such device to truly capitalize on the micro-console’s potential. This palm-sized box plugs to your TV via HDMI to play PS Vita games on the big screen, plus older games – i.e. PS3 and earlier – by way of Sony’s upcoming Playstation Now service, granting access to thousands of titles. It’s compatible with Dual Shock 3/4 controllers and lets you stream PS4 games in other rooms as well as videos, making this diminutive, inexpensive device attractive for gamers with or without a PS4 alike.
