Hyperlite Echo II Shelter System

Tents: rather large, and rather heavy. They’re amongst the biggest items in your camping pack, but, expectedly, throwing a bit money at the problem solves it. Hyperlite’s Echo II Shelter System is a little unorthodox in its build: this shelter is made up of a durable, ultralight cuben fiber tarp (the same material used in Outlier’s Minimal Backpack) that protects an underlying Nanoseeum bug mesh tent insert against the elements. Best of all, it’s mounted using two trekking poles, cutting down its weight including guy lines to a paltry 1.84 pounds.
