Sony QX Series Lens-Style Cameras

Your smartphone has all the workings of a great camera – it’s got an ultrafast processor, massive HD display, and near-limitless memory. All it’s missing is half-decent optics, and that’s where Sony’s QX Series clip-on lenses come in. Using WiFi and, optionally, NFC, these standalone lenses pair with your Android or iOS device to snap quality pics, physically connecting to your device using an adjustable adapter, though they’ll also work when physically dissociated from the phone or even as independent cameras in a pinch. Otherwise, the QX10 features 18.2 megapixels and a 10x optical zoom while the QX100 packs the same large 1″ 20.2 megapixel Exmor RCMOS sensor as the Cyber-Shot RX100, a 3.6x optical zoom, BIONZ image processor, and a dedicated control ring for manual focus and zoom adjustment.
