Petcube

Working long hours takes a toll on you not only, but also your pet. Petcube aims to remedy this – if you can call it that – using technology and a bit of creativity. This 4x4x4-inch extruded aluminum and glass cube packs a speaker, microphone, wide-angle camera, and a low-intensity laser mounted to two servo motors, allowing you to keep tabs on your pet, talk to him/her in real time, and even get them all riled up by playing with the laser, all through Petcube’s smartphone app. Else, Petcube is über-easy to set up – just place it on a surface, ideally 3 feet above ground, and connect it to your WiFi network – offers optional physical skins for customizing its look, and may begin to garner more of your pet’s affection than you.
