Space Invaders Watch

Romain Jerome’s Space Invaders watch is back for second round of orders, though with the price tag of a small car, we’ll have to leave this one to wealthy collectors. Why so costly? The case’s steel is cast with fragments from Apollo 11, and a Moon Silver disk on the back that mimics our satellite’s cratered surface and incorporates moon dust in its slow-oxidating alloy. Less exotic materials include stainless steel, and an automatic Calibre RJ001-A movement keeps time moving.

Order the blue version at Colette Paris (limited to 8 pieces), or check out Romain Jerome’s other work, including watches integrating pieces of the Titanic, the Statue of Liberty, volcanic ash, or fibres from spacesuits – roughly $18,500
